A chef is a person with a degree in culinary arts (cooking) and works in a professional setting, while a cook might not have a degree.

chef是拥有烹饪艺术(烹饪)学位并在专业环境中工作的人,而cook可能没有学位。

If you say that someone is a good cook, you mean they are good at preparing and cooking food.

厨师cook通常被认为是能够准备食物,但缺乏烹饪培训的人。

cook还可以作动词

When you cook a meal, you prepare food for eating by heating it. 烹调

例:I have to go and cook dinner.

我要去做饭了。
